Technical Environment: Objective C, C, C++, Cocoa Touch Brief Description: Stout Systems wanted to walk through the design, development and deployment cycle for an iPhone application in full-so that it could better support its iPhone application development customers. Stout Systems had an idea for an entertainment application that both played embedded sound files and recorded and played new ones on a timer driven basis. The code was written in Objective-C, C and C++ to take advantage of Apple's native Cocoa Touch frameworks and low level audio routines, as well as the Speaker, Microphone and Camera functionality. The application is available in the Apple Store. Buzzwords: iPhone, Objective C, Cocoa Touch | ||

Technical Environment: Objective C, Cocoa Touch Brief Description: Our client came to us with iPhone application development problems that they could not readily solve themselves, this being their first iPhone application development effort. The client had a partially completed iPhone application for interfacing with the database back end for their Web site. The original developers had gotten stuck and were unable to run the application on a device to test it. They also wanted a complete code review to discover deviations from best practices and iPhone human interface guidelines. The code review indicated that significant structural changes needed to be made for stability purposes, which Stout made. After that, we got the application unstuck and they were able to test it on a device. Our client discovered a number of features that they wanted were missing or only partially implemented so they had us complete those as well. The application is now available in the Apple Store.
